Asbestos is commonly used as an acoustic material, thermal insulation, fire proofing and in thousands of other building materials. Many products were in use in the past which contain asbestos. The mineral asbestos is made up of microscopic bundles of fibers that breakdown into fibrils which will become airborne when asbestos-containing materials are damaged or disturbed.

Martin Associates & Environmental will schedule a licensed contractor to meet with you at the property and conduct a walkthrough to quantify the amount of asbestos, and how it should be handled. Commercial/Industries properties should have a copy of the survey available prior to the walkthrough. Our professionals can arrange for an asbestos survey to be performed, if your site does not have survey performed, by a third party.  We will work with you to generate a course of action and make our recommendations. Upon completion of walk through we will provide a proposal and outline the course of action.

Martin Associates & Environmental supplies licensed supervisors and workers to remove all asbestos-containing materials from your property. Our services include, but are not limited to, establishing a work zone perimeter and installing critical barriers, shutting down the HVAC system and covering all ducts and vents, removing non-stationary items from the work area or covering them with polyethylene, setting up a 3 stage decontamination unit, utilizing negative-air pressure enclosure systems with a HEPA filter to exhaust clean air, use of wet removal techniques, and HEPA vacuuming inside containment to prohibit spreading of contaminates, conducting air clearance samplings following abatement and once we have achieved permissible air clearance we will clean up and tear down the work area.
